Hello! My name is Beatriz Oliveira. I’m a multimedia journalist with a passion for storytelling across platforms. I hold degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science with a focus on International Relations from the University of Central Florida.

Over the past two years, I’ve been working at WFTV Channel 9 in Orlando, where I primarily cover theme park news. In addition to reporting, I produce engaging digital content for the station’s social media platforms. Most recently, I joined the team covering Universal Orlando’s upcoming Epic Universe, where I’ve contributed in-depth articles, videos, and digital packages. Prior to WFTV, I worked at UCF’s Office of Research, where I wrote science and research-based feature stories highlighting faculty projects and discoveries. I’ve also freelanced for WMFE 90.7 NPR and spent time reporting for UCF Knightly News and NSM Today, producing a variety of multimedia stories.

My background blends newsroom hustle with academic curiosity, and I thrive when I’m turning complex topics into compelling, accessible content.
